    Happier than a Pig in *you know what* to have found out that there's an El Famous Burrito here in Crystal Lake. I was thinking that I'd have to go back down to the Wheeling location to get my Burrito fix. I've been in Crystal Lake for almost 3 years now I can't believe that I just remembered about El Famous Burrito and did a quick search on Google and BAM!!! There it is less than 2 miles away from me!! Friends are coming up this weekend from Buffalo Grove (next town over from Wheeling) and it's a diner and drinks date at El Famous!! I seriously can not wait!! Peace Dave

    Best food, hot and flavorful. Yummy!! Margarita pretty good 😋. Service is wonderful and friendly. My new favorite place

    Food was just ok. Service was terrible; waitress never came to check on us. I had to request a glass of water twice. Servers generally didn't seem to care if we were there or not. There are plenty of other options for Mexican food in Crystal Lake...I'll be trying them in the future. Not going back here.

    I absolutely love this restaurant. Margaritas amazing. I always order the steak taco dinner with beans and rice. Excellent. One thing I did notice over the last couple years they've cut back a little on the beans and rice on takeout orders. Still a great place to eat.

    I love this place. The food is authentic and flavorful and the wait staff is very friendly. We've been coming here for years and they never disappoint. If you're looking for a no frills, flavorful food at a great price the El Burrito is the place for you.
